Hospital Stay

I love this picture. This was the first time the girls got to see their new baby sister and I think Aubrey was more happy to see the cool room behind the window then Anna. Aubrey finally noticed Anna when I showed them the black umbilical cord on her belly button.

So here is the brief story of why she was in the hospital for the first week of her life . . .

She pooped before she came out.

Meconium in the amniotic fluid can be kind of scary for baby's health after birth so all precautions were taken. Anna is happy, healthy, and well and now on to greater new things, like breastfeeding.

Birth story soon to come and of course more pictures of Anna.

I was just wondering when you were due, and here she is! She is beautiful, of course. I am glad that she is fine and home and eating, and growing......

I hope that things are going well with you and the new addition. Good-luck getting through Christmas! Congratulations.
