Family in Town

My brother got married back in June to the beatiful babe on the left in the first pic. Everyone came into town and we had lots of fun eating out, shopping, going to Disneyland, Cinderella play, pedicures, swimming, and lots of Yogurtland. Love family!

Reunion Trip

One of our summer vacations was to our yearly reunion for Spencer's extended family in Lava Hot Springs, ID. Our families favorite parts were the kid activities, including making bubbles with hangers and swinging on the little playground. Spencer and I got to play golf in the family Gunnar Cup Golf Tournament, which we love. We didn't place well but we had fun doing it none the less.

Then we traveled back to see Grandma G perform in the choir and tour Temple Square. It was a short trip but was full of good times and great memories.

Last of the Trip

So terrifying, right? Here are some of the last pics from our great trip to visit family in Utah. A huge thank you to everyone who put up with us. We already miss you.

The Cabin

Spencer and his family love spending time up at their cabin near Kamas, UT which is just outside of Park City. We enjoy the outdoors, horse shoe games, catching up with family, fishing, food, and homemade root beer. It is not just any root beer. It is the root beer that Spencer's family have enjoyed and made generations back.

The root beer is not made with dry ice but made with yeast and sets for a period of time before consuming. For those who have grown up with this type of root beer, the drink is easy on the taste buds. For most of those married into the family, cringing is usually the choice of reaction after trying for the first time.

Still, making the homemade rootbeer is a fun tradition and although the taste of it makes me feel like I might be breaking the Word of Wisdom (no worries for those of you who might question. It has about the same amount of alcohol in it as orange juice), I make sure that I try some, if only a few sips, every time a batch is presented.

Pictures, Again?

A family reunion would not be complete without a family picture. It is not that Spencer and I are really into getting family photos done all the time we just happen to be the lucky recipients of generous parents. So, our family headed over to Memory Grove Park in Salt Lake City to take some pictures by this guy. The one picture he has posted on his blog is great you've got to take a look. I'm posting some pictures my sister-in-law, Wendy, took while we were there. These cute babes our the grand kids on Spencer's side. They are all so very cute.
