It's That Time
The date has been set. I am to find a dress to wear to Spencer's work Christmas party. The party is usually a big soiree so I like to dress in something formal yet still comfortable. I haven't been able to find anything that fits that bill. I really like the dress above but find the whole sizing thing on Etsy a bit unreliable. Any thoughts on where to buy something formal yet comfortable and most definitely MODEST?

Indoor/Outdoor
Slippers. I'd like a pair for each level of my home. We have three. I'm liking these right now.

Mutze Mutze
I want Mutze! My friend Ashley, over at Mutze by Ashley, never seizes to amaze me with her knitting creations. I'd love one of each please.

Bake and Serve

I love the La Champa bakeware from The Road Less Traveled Store. It's lead free and you can microwave with it too. It is also very pretty.

Countertop Composte Bin
I've been shopping around for a composter and came across this portable kitchen composter. It would work perfectly since our living space is on the 2nd floor of our house. Which makes it hard to get to the backyard. The site to buy it from is very cool too and very green. Love it. Check it out here.

Fall Deals

There's actually deals going on all the time over at The Children's Wear Outlet. All of these sets are $16 or cheaper (WOW!). When I have purchased off their site in the past, I end up using the sets as separates for different outfits. For those who have children in uniforms this is also a great place to purchase them.

Maps
For some time now, Nora has been asking me questions about where we live as opposed to her favorite people in the world. She will ask questions about why Grandma (my mother-in-law), lives so far away or where is Stella her cousin in Connecticut. In answer to her questions, I would like to buy my family a US and world map. I am sure it has been hard for her to visualize my half answers. Hopefully, a map will help. I found these fun maps at Target. Two of the maps are adhesive which I think would be great and super easy to hang. But, if you know where to buy great US/world maps for kids that will be pleasing to my eyes too, please let me know. I am in the market for globes as well.

Bithell Farms

It is that time of year again. The time to order wonderful frozen fruits from Bithell Farms. This is where I got my loganberries for my jam last year. I think I'm going to order marionberries this time around. They have a great selection and are willing to deliver to your area. The amount you have to buy is quite a bit so going in halvesies might be necessary. Make sure you get your orders in by June 30th to get in on this shipment.

Family Picture Time

It's that time again when all the family will get together and because of that very fact the need to take a picture comes in. Well, the gals this year are to, as of right now, wear light pink and khaki. We will be out doors so I was wanting to be in a summery dress or skirt. Light pink is obviously not the hot color in this season. I'm having a hard time figuring out what I am going to wear. This so far are items I liked but can't decide. Any thoughts?

Composition Books

I just love these whimsy composition books from Paper Source. I'd love them not only for my girls but for me also. In their own words:
A great place to capture notes and doodles. These perfectly packable blank notebooks will inspire any traveler's imagination... Especially good to have for those long family road trips.
You can find them here.

"Darling" Jewelry
Okay, so I know that I'm her sister but I can't help but love my sister Darleen's jewelry. One of my favorite turquoise pieces I'm wearing today in the top left picture. I can wear it with almost anything. So, I had to post some of her pieces that are on my wish list. Can you tell I'm lovin' the blue and greens in my jewelry lately. I love her use of white turquoise too. You can enjoy and buy her jewelry here.

Golf Style

I love Lija Style for putting out some very pretty woman's golf apparel. I like to say I'm a golfer even though I'm not very good at it, I enjoy it quite a bit though. For those of you who love the game of golf but find it hard to shop and wear golfing apparel, head over to Lija Style. You won't be disappointed in the clothing. There is nothing like playing golf and feeling and looking good while doing it.

Bud Vases
A while back I found Jamali Garden off of Oh Happy Day and have since gone back to check out the pretty eye candy they have. Spring reminds me that I have yet to purchase the bud vases I've been wanting. I love the look of these vases and could find many places for each style. Jamali Garden also has willow fencing for the cheapest I've seen around. Have yet to hear of the quality though. Our air conditioning units take up about an 1/8th of our backyard and for our tiny yard that becomes an eye sore. Willow screens may do the trick although my dream would be for my honey to build me some cedar wood screens. Send some good luck my way, please.

Purl

My sister posted about how she was going to buy some fabric at Purl, a shop in NYC selling in their own words, "beautiful materials, tools, notions, and accessories for knitting, sewing, and quilting." Beautiful indeed. It was hard for me to leave the site. You might want to set a side some time to check out what they have to offer.

Dress Sale
Shabby Apple has some of their dresses on sale right now. I was so excited I had to buy the two shown above. I wanted to buy this one but they didn't have it in my size. So hurry before they run out of your size.

Mountain Rose Herbs
This is a fun site to explore. I love how most everything is organic. I think I'll be buying my seeds from here.
